Here is a recipe using Dates........
Date Nut Dessert
Mrs. Elmer Dollard
3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
14 soda crackers, crushed
1/2 cup nutmeats, finely chopped
12 dates, finely chopped
Beat egg whites very stiff and continue beating while adding sugar and vanilla. Then add soda crackers, dates and nutmeats. Bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Serve with whipped cream. Serves6.
