Ok, I think this a dessert being disguised as a salad.....
Pineapple-Nut Salad
Mrs. John O. Fife
1 package lemon gelatin
2 packages cream cheese
1 large can crushed pineapple
juice from crushed pineapple
1 small can pimientos
1/2 cup celery, chopped
2/3 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped
1/8 teaspoon salt
Boil pineapple juice and mix with gelatin. When it begins to jell, add crushed pineapple and cheese mashed with pimientos, celery and walnuts. Fold in whipping cream and place in mold. Chill.

Cream cheese Salad
Here is a cream cheese recipe that is not a dessert , or it could be a dessert.
Cream Cheese Salad
Mrs. Agnes Shapley
1 cup red cinnamon candies
1 cup boiling water
1 package lemon gelatin
2 1/2 cups applesauce
2 8-oz packages cream cheese
1/2 cup black walnuts, chopped
pinch salt
Pour boiling water over cinnamon candies. Let dissolve. Add gelatin and applesauce. Pour 1/2 mixture into 7 x 11 x 2-inch dish. Cool until congealed. add enough cream to cheese to make a spreading consistency. Add nutmeats and salt. Spread over first mixture. Add remaining gelatin mixture.

Cherry Delight
This is for those that like cherry cheesecake, it is similar .
Cherry Delight
Mrs. Larry E. Franklin
1/4 pound butter ,melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 8-oz package cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup pecans, broken
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped
1 can cherries
Melt butter in 9 x 9-inch cake pan. Stir in graham cracker crumbs. Pat around bottom and sides. Bake 10 minutes at 325 degrees. Combine cream cheese and sugar. Mix well. Spread cream cheese mixture over cracker crust. Sprinkle pecans over cheese. whip cream almost to butter and spread over pecans. Top with cherries. Chill at least 24 hours.

Lime Cream Cheese Salad

1 3-oz package cream cheese, softened
1 small can crushed pineapple
1 cup cold milk
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Drain juice from pineapple and reserve. combine gelatin and cream cheese. Mix and make a paste. Add water to pineapple juice to make a cup. Heat and pour over paste. Blend well. Add cold milk, pineapple and nutmeats. Pour into mold and chill. Serves 8.
