Sweet Sour Cabbage Slaw

This one is from 1968.

Sweet Sour Cabbage Slaw
Mrs. Leroy Lamson

1 medium head cabbage
1 medium onion
1/2 green pepper
3 stalks celery
2 cups sugar
2 cups vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Cut or shred cabbage, pepper, onion and celery. Add sugar, salt and vinegar.

Caraway Coleslaw

Remember those Sunday dinners...My mom would make the best coleslaw, This isn`t her recipe but it comes pretty close, my family really don`t have any recipes written down, it was always alittle of this and a little of that, but then again that was always the best food.
This recipe is from 1968


Caraway Coleslaw
Mrs. Katherine Dodig

3 cups cabbage, finely shredded
1 Tablespoon prepared mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon sugar
2 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 treaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion,grated
1 teaspoon caraway seed

Combine all ingredients except cabbage. toss with cabbage and chill at least 20 minutes before serving. serves 4.

Fancy Coleslaw

Here is a recipe for yummy coleslaw, it is the season here in the ozarks for picnics. Again the recipe is from 1967 and in the salad/vegetable section.

Fancy Coleslaw
Mrs. doretha Todd

1 head cabbage
3 whole carrots
1 large green pepper
1 large onion
6 radishes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup sandwich spread
4 sweet pick;es
1/2 cup sugar

shred all vegetables in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill before serving.
